Jarek graduated from Warsaw University, where he did his PhD in Computer Science, specifically Foundations of Object Oriented Languages.
While studying and doing research at Warsaw University, Jarek also started his professional career, building number of ERP systems for medium and large businesses (for example: in Asseco Business Solutions) – with focus on manufacturing systems, database scalability and optimization.
In 2009, Jarek joined Google to build systems automating operation of the data centers, making them easier to use for all Google developers. The teams also improved the efficiency of the datacenters thanks to optimizations based on large amounts of historical workload data. Then, Jarek & the team expanded the scope to Cloud Computing – also focusing on tools which automate many operations – making the Cloud Automatically adapt to user application’s need and behavior.
Today, he is leading the quickly growing Warsaw Office to make Google’s Cloud and Datacenters even more awesome!
